~Me~

Been obsessed with books and writing since I was 8 years old. Then I lost it when I pursued writing in college. Now, I'm trying to find that drive again.

Taking Up Cheerleading

I may not be one of the most fit or flexible or even pretty girls in school but I am going to take up our school's first cheerleading club. I felt so pumped when I heard about it until I didn't have any spirits to go handball or even think about homework and the week felt really long because of the cheerleading club idea. For three straight days I talked about cheerleading ONLY! I thought my friends would get annoyed so I shut the cheerleading idea and that's how the week felt really, really, really long...
At first, it says cheerleading club which means that anyone can join and nobody gets turned down but the organizer said there'd be an audition for cheerleading. I was so shocked! Besides annoying my friends, the audition thing is why my spirits are down and the week felt long. If it was a club, it means that no one gets excluded but included. If thy want to make a squad, sure they could but not turn down anyone. Just like my handball club. I'm a member but not in the girls team. If there were someone who was injured during practice and there's not enough cheerleaders, then the other members would take their place. Totally makes sense.
Besides, the organizer did say anyone can join and benefits of joining are better dance skills, learn basic cheer move and an easy confidence boost. Another thing is that not every girl wants to join. I would know 'cos I asked around and they said they're not interested.
For this week, I've been doing some cheerleading training and watching cheer moves and chants online. Really helpful tips and moves by Expert Village. I've also been trying to make my own cheerleader diet and did some yoga for flexibility so i can be able to do splits, cartwheels and handstands.
Important: Cheerleading is a real sport.
